I've been hunting for a nice example of the tin Marx T3-21 Army Training Center for quite a while. It's tough to find one that's in nice condition and priced reasonably. Having had no luck, I decided to make one:

The Lionel 226E returned to the mainline this week after a few minor repairs and a thorough cleaning and lubrication:



Definitely a capstone for the collection here (doubt we'd ever find a 700E Hudson in as nice of shape).

American Flyer S-gauge:



The Flyer Hudson was an iconic postwar locomotive, a far better "model" IMHO than any Hudson made by Lionel.

Flyer set #4001 from 1940 was spotted pulling into the platforms on the back straight a few days ago:



Rare outing for a classic set.

A few minor changes (chimney, window arrangements, etc.), but basically as drawn. The roofline on that front entryway was a challenge.
