Call for Help: Need Photos and Story Ideas

Do you like to see new photographs of other people's trains and towns? So do we. Unfortunately, we can't come into your houses and take photos, so we need you to send photos to us. At this point we are especially in need of:
  • Photos that show your trains along with your towns, and
  • Photos of trains and towns that a season other than Christmas.

Also, if you've come up with a technique or idea you'd like to share with our readers, let us know. Don't worry about the writing part. If we have photographs and a good idea of how you accomplished something, we can put the article together and get you to take a look at it before we go "live." And don't worry about credit, we ALWAYS give credit where it is due, for photos or ideas, or articles.

All of this will help us help you and the hobby at large. Please contact us if you have any photographs you'd be willing to share, story ideas, questions, or anything else worth putting in an e-mail. Click to go to article.

Indoor Trains Project Idea: "Building a Vintage-Style Stone Cottage"

On our sister site Big Indoor Trains, Glitterhouse builder Howard Lamey has created another a project to show how printouts from our Resources section can add three-dimensional interest to an indoor railroad. Though this small structure uses the "small" scale graphics, you can increase the plan by 300% and use the large scale graphics to get a similar effect for a large scale 3-D stone cottage that can be used in a holiday village or adapted for use on an indoor railroad. On a Seasonal Note: Saint Patrick: His People, His Work, and His Day"

Another sister site Family Christmas OnlineTM has a brand-new article about the ancient Celts and why Saint Patrick is important even if you're not Irish. Click the following link to see the article:

Keep in Touch

We always try to answer reader questions quickly. Also many reader questions (and their answers) apply to other readers as well. That's why we keep adding entries to our "Letters to the Editor" pages. You may find some interesting and helpful reading there.

In the meantime, Happy Saint Patrick's Day, Happy Easter, and have a great spring!
