I saw one on your page..I am intersted in...
The train I like is on one of your pages that says 2014 ... It has green on the front... I know nothing about trains....but want to start a tradition with our grandchilren...and just found your pages...

This photo shows Paul's Large Scale Christmas trains running outside in November, 2012 for a special public event. [To see the photo in question, please click here: http://familygardentrains.com/newbost/n ... v_2012.jpg

Thanks for getting in touch. Sadly the train in the photo you asked about has been sold out. However there are lots of other great trains available. May I ask if you want an "indoor" train or an "outdoor" train.

Also, the age(s) of the grandchild/children you're shopping for.

If they're under 8, I might recommend the Bachmann L'il Big Hauler set.

The Christmas set is here:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0090T ... ATHOVCDSUW

They're big enough to use outside but small enough to run around a tree.

The other sets suitable for kids are on this page:

http://garden-train-store.com/begin/kids_trains.htm

If you were really thinking about setting up an indoor railroad for the kids, and you'll have at least one over eight soon, I'd consider the trains on this page:

Hope this helps, please let me know if it doesn't or if you have any followup questions. - Paul

Hello there, so kind of you to share your wisdom with me :) What We are trying to do at this point is the be the coolest grandparents EVER... though my parents pretty much fit that bill already :) We want to have a CHRISTMAS train set up for around our Christmas Tree every year and maybe add pieced to the train as years go on.... I don't know the first thing about trains... what to look for in tracks..... etc... we want lights and sounds and all the fun stuff, but we want it to be a Christmas Train... we want remotes we usually get an 8 ft tree but when we get a bigger house...we could end up getting a bigger tree...... These are my questions to start with...:) The grand kids won't be playing with it.... but they will be in AWE of it..... so I am mostely going by the look of the train that makes me happiest when I see it..... the look that takes me back to being a kid and fascinated with the miracles of Christmas... so while I am picking out a train by its looks... I need some wisdom in what is the best train and track to choose...:) you are so kind... thank you for taking time with me... Blessings you YOU.... Lisa
My oldest grandchild is 18mos old... but the families are growing.... we don't have to decide this christmas.... we have time.... It is a brand new Christmas Idea that we want to start a Christmas Train..... so our sons will be in Awe as well :)
