Note from July 2014. I'm leaving this note up for historical purposes, but the original content of the note is no longer valid. BJ's "new blog" started earlier this year is already down for the count. That said Ed "Ice" Berg's blog is alive and well.

We now return you to the old posting:

--------------------------------------------------
There are a lot of links in this posting. Unfortunately when you click on a link you jump to that page and lose this one. I can fix that but then it messes up a lot of other links.

So if you right-click on a link and specify "view in new window," your browser will keep this view open to, so you can come back to it, like keeping your thumb in a book so you don't lose your place while you check the index or glossary.

We now return you to the topic of this post. :-)

Some years back "BJ" started using scans of Plasticville models to provide building for his tabletop war landscapes. About three years ago, he started a forum called "Paperville" on Yahoo. Then, toward the end of last year, Yahoo changed so many aspects of their forums that BJ didn't think it was worth jumping through all the hoops.

According to this blog from longtime Marx collector Ed "Ice" Berg, BJ has set up a new blog where he'll be able to post his own stuff at least. Here's the announcement on Ed's site:

To jump right to BJ's blog, click the following link: [Note: This link is broken as of July, 2014]

http://buffalogames.wix.com/buffalogames

By the way, this wouldn't work on IE8 for me, but works on IE9 and Firefox, so if your browser hiccups, try another browser - the site really does work.

One of BJ's building posts is a grocery store based on Ed's scan of his Built-Rite Business Block. If you jump to the grocery store page, click on the words "Grocery Store" to see the image, or right click on the link to download.

If you want to see an example of one of Ed's Plasticville scans, check out the following link.

Thanks, Ed for keeping a visual archive of so many classic toys. Best of luck with the new blog, BJ!

Actually, I can't get to BJ's Buffalo Games blog anymore. Anyone have any ideas if BJ has located anywhere else?

Ed's blog is going strong: http://toyconnect.blogspot.com/ Thanks, Ed, for all the great photos!
