This building is based on lots of Google search images…I guess you would call it “coarse scale architecture”…it is sized to go with the few Lionel pieces I have plus my Marx litho tin trains…the base is approximately 5” x 11”…overall height is about 9”…
Although I am not a “war gamer”…I have been following some interesting things I found on this “war game” site…
http://www.matakishi.com/http://www.matakishi.com/makingbuildings.htmhttp://www.matakishi.com/factory.htm“Gamers” in the UK are using cork floor tile to make buildings and scenery pieces…cork really has an interesting texture…especially after painting…
I could not find cork tiles locally…so I used my old stand by -- “cardboard“…including recycled priority mail boxes (the kind with the small corrugated flutes)…three ring binder cover cardboard (after removing the vinyl skin)…also match sticks, coffee stirrers plus other odds and ends…the window mullions will be ¼” hardware cloth with cereal bag plastic glazing…wire step railing have stanchions made from cotter pins…there are still some details to make before primer, finish and final assembly…
i'll post some pictures of the finished structure later...
My very best regards…Howard…
