I got a serve & protect train & was wondering if I can order just passenger cars, the hobby store I go to told me that this is a special train that will not work with their trains.

Thanks & God bless you all

Bob,

This train was made by Bachmann. It is 100% compatible with Bachmann HO model trains. Your hobby shop guy was talking through his hat, as they say.

Unfortunately the set has been sold out - there was apparently a high demand.

You'll still see individual pieces on eBay such as:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bachmann-HO-Sca ... _386wt_684

You could also try the Bradford exchange customer service line and see if you can get through to anyone who knows if they have any extra pieces in the warehouse (some folks who answer the phone are better at this than others, I'm afraid). 1-866-907-3607

That said, ANY Bachmann HO passenger car will be 100% compatible with your train.

Best of luck,

Paul Race
