For about twelve years, Hawthorne Village made On30 commemorative trains based on Bachmann On30 platforms.

I currently have the 50th anniversary corvette train set but do not have the caboose for it - do you sell that separately at all and if so what would the cost of something like that be

Our answer:

Thanks for getting in touch.

These were distributed by Hawthorne Village, who are now owned by Bradford Exchange. Your best bet is to call the Bradford Exchange customer service phone number: 1-866-907-3607. In Canada, call 1-866-285-0932.

They may be able to tell you what cars were made and if any of the ones you need are still available.

One source said they were:

Issue 1 - Engine - A Unit
Issue 2 - Engine - B Unit and Track
Issue 3 - Flat Car with a 1953 Corvette Diecast and Power Pack
Issue 4 – Flat Car with a 1957 Corvette Diecast
Issue 5 – Flat Car with a 1963 Corvette Diecast
Issue 6 – Flat Car with a 1969 Corvette Diecast
Issue 7 – Flat Car with a 1997 Corvette Diecast
Issue 8 – Caboose

They haven't been made for some time; if Bradford Exchange doesn't have any, you might try going to eBay and searching on Hawthorne Corvette.

Best of luck,

Paul Race
