I have the 49ers NFL trains
The train I have belonged to my brother, who has since gone to a nursing home. It is my job to sell some of his belongings. I would like to know how much this train is worth so that I may ask for a fair price. Thank you.

I am sorry that you are having to deal with this. Also, I'm sorry to tell you that I don't have any certain way to tell you how much your train is worth. The train is still being made, and the new pieces are selling for $75 a unit.
If your brother's trains are like new with the packaging, the certificates, the track, the power supply, and other accessories, the most they are likely to be "worth" is 2/3 of that, although I have seen individual pieces on eBay that went for more like 1/4 of the new price. That may seem harsh, but not every used train increases in value, and almost none increase in value while the line is still being made.
If you need a firm price, look for similar sports trains on eBay and figure out what they sell for (not what people are asking). That will get you close to where you need to be. You could try listing it on Craigs list or some such and see if you get any "bites."
Best of luck - Paul
