David Helber used to make some great graphics that you could use to dress up beat-up old Marx cars. The site is still up at:

But I have lost touch with David. Anyone still in touch?

Do you have glue on graphics for damaged Marx passenger cars?

Well, I've been checking around.
The fellow who used to sell these doesn't sell them any more. I actually thought about doing them years ago but I didn't want to be competition for him. Which cars do you have that need repair? Or are you just as happy putting new wraps of any kind on them so they look nice? I can't promise anything, as I work with another designer, but I wouldn't mind looking at photos, etc.

This is a problem with prewar Flyer and Ives as well...it would be great to have a way to "restore" lithography on pieces in relatively good structural shape but with diminshed paint/finish. I'd be interested to see what alternatives you can come up with.

Hi-Rez photos of a clean GC original and VERY precise measurements, or maybe even the loan of the car in question for experimentation would go a long way toward making this happen.
What car do you have in mind? Most of the questions about wraps relate to the shortie Marx cars - for example a lot of the dead locomotives have tenders that use the same frame as their passenger cars.
The hard part for me is getting a very precise template. On the other hand, I'm six weeks behind on emails right now, so nothing's going to happen right away.

How sad that site is 'dead'. It looks like it would have really been interesting.
